Keeping visible data when printing

When I download data from my database to Excel, I can see on the screen, for example, dates of birth of the people registered on my website, but when I try to print that list out, the dates of birth just change to a succession of hashtags. Is there anything I can do to keep them as they appear on the screen?

when an Excel cell shows all ####### it means that the column is not wide enough to display the contents. Sometimes the computer screen and the printer output are not 100% identical. Try making the column with the ##### a bit wider.
