Issue in selecting Fields

Dear Office Team,

I have some issues in selecting the field in excel its really annoying while working, cloud you please help to resolve this issue 

Problem:

Ctrl + A

Is not working when you double click the column

Not sure what you mean by CTRL + A is not working when you double click on column. Could you explain more please
