I'm using Excel Online Connector alongside a PowerApps Canvas App and got a problem when trying to generate unique identifiers.
Whenever I insert a new row from the canvas app, I want the Excel File to give a unique identifier for that newly created row. So far, I've run into the following problems:
1- If the identifier is set by the canvas app, then I bump into concurrency issues (if two users use the app and create a new row, two rows will be created with the same identifiers)
2- The use of formulas in the excel online file is not supported when using the PowerApps connector, so I cannot use formulas to give the desired value to the "id" column
3- Office scripts does not support binding to events
I've been using Google's Spreadsheets and you can there bind a function to the "onChange" event, which is triggered both when a user or PowerApps modifies the spreadsheet.
I'd need something similar with Excel Online, as it's absurd that I need to use Google's services when my organization uses Office 365...
I've also been looking into the Office add-in documentation, but I'm quite uncertain that this scenario is feasible.
