I am trying to install a word doc to an existing excel w/s using my mac. Using insert, object, choose file it is not working.

What is the problem exactly?
Can you see the option? can you choose it? or it is not there
Have you tried insert different document?

I can add the word document to excel but then I can't save it. It says to save it to the desktop app and then when I do and try to open the file I can't open it. See attached.
