IF statement that references a table

Copper Contributor

I'm having trouble getting a lengthy IF statement to work, and I believe it needs to come from a table (or be one really long formula).

I have reports that do not include team alignment with team leaders and the appropriate support person. Tom works with Nancy, Liz works with Jim, etc. I have a full column of team leaders, but the report never has our updated alignment of support persons. Can I have a cell simply look to another cell, see who the team leader is, and then fill in the appropriate support person?

Tom

Need this to auto-populate Nancy
LizNeed this to auto-populate Jim

@CoreyCarson Are your team leaders and support persons are related to each other based on some common criteria such as same Department/Division, same Project, etc.? If they are not and randomly assigned to each other instead, you will have to create different sets of team leader-members then use formulas to look up.
