This formula is used to calculate the difference between two cells as I a using it to update investments on a daily basis, when I enter todays value it auto fills a blank cell with the difference, red if negative amount and black if positive. Can anyone tell me why this formula returns a value in red whether positive or negative. Thank you in advance

Try setting the number format of the cell(s) with the formula to the custom format

0.00;[Red]0.00

or a variation thereof.
