how to use conditional formatting in excel with text values to highlight row

Copper Contributor

hi everyone

how I can use conditional formatting in excel with text values to highlight row that contain specific text?

for example

I try apply conditional formatting to my table that contain text "SELL" or "BUY"

but the conditional formatting color only apply for cell itself not row.

I want file row with green color if text = BUY or red color if text = SELL

please find attachment example for my work.

@nalnofal

=$D6="SELL"
=$D6="BUY"

 Maybe with these rules for conditional formatting and adjusted ranges for conditional formatting (=$B$6:$F$13).
