how to total column with IF or some other function?

I'm a mediocre excel user, not an expert! I pretty much only use the Sum function. This time I need to total column G for the cells in column B that equal "Tithes and Offerings." How do I write that formula? My sheet attached.

Perhaps this:

=SUMIF($B$2:$B$6,"Tithes*",$G$2:$G$6)
