How to Record a Power Automate Script on an Excel Add-In?

Is there a way to run an automated process with an excel add-in? I try to record my steps, but it does not seem to work or record anything as soon as I open/click on the add in.

What are you trying to record, something an add-in preforms? I don't think you can record that in Office script.

@Jan Karel Pieterse Yes, the add-in refreshes data from a 3rd party which then updates my excel page. I am trying to get that to automate and refresh once a week, but I don't think there is a way to record that action and create a power automate...

I don't know, perhaps you can contact the company that created that addin? Which is it?
