How to display User Defined Function result in form of reference instead of value

Copper Contributor

Hi, I am trying to make my own XLOOKUP function in VBA and have succeeded to some extent as such I can find and display values in 2-d arrays too but when I try to use nested function then it displays error. By doing some google search I concluded that XLOOKUP gives output as references instead of values, while my UDF displays actual values. So, has anyone tried anything similar? Any suggestions are welcomed. Thanks in advance!

It would be an advantage for everyone if you upload a file (without sensitive data) and make it available. with that one could help them more specifically and more quickly. At the same time, you save us the time to guess.
I'm not that good at guessing and spells.
