How to Create Formulas between Files Questions

So I am trying to create the correct formula for a project I am working on for work regarding Seniority and work positions. 

I'm not even sure if formulas for this exists.

I wanted to create a standard, rule or formula for a cell that would only populate according to specific days of the week. (Hold over list of who is working that day.) 

I also wanted to create a formula or rule that would populate the correct name from a list according to an imput code for specific cells. example. (RPT1, RPT2, RPT3, RPT4,) [Relief Part-Time]
