How to create a template for two separate excel files where one file feeds a summary file

I was hoping someone could help me create a template where a master file feeds data into a separate file. I would like to duplicate this by copying and pasting both files but it is unclear to me how I would be able to have them pre-mapped not sure if this even feasible. 

If so, please share additional insights.

To retrieve data from another Excel file, simply open the target file and click Data, Get Data, From File, From Workbook and follow instructions.
