how do i make a cell absolute?

@bob_beattie1510 You can make a reference to a cell absolute by including $ signs in front of either or both the column letter and row number.

 

For example: $A$1 or $A1 or A$1

 

Select a reference in a formula on the formula bar and press F4 to toggle through all options.

Thanks Riny, In my last version of excel I used to just push f4 for what I wanted. Now if I push f4 it just moves the cursor to another cell??
