How can a make a graphic with data from a table that have applied filters

New Contributor

I want to make a line graphic with values from this table I have. The graphic must include on one axis, X, the days from a month (from 1-30 or 1-31 depending on the month) and on the other one, on Y axis, must include the hours in one day (1-24). On every day of the month I must have 24 points of value, referring to the 24 hours of one day. I have values on every hour of the day, for every day of the month. Every time I filter the table to select the values and enter the data, my chart disappears. In the end, I will have to have a graphic with 24 lines and for every day of the month, 24 values.

Thank you in advance for all the answers.

Excel 365 Pro Plus with Power Pivot and Power Query.

Graph power usage vs hour for 5 days.

Not a problem with this Excel version and this layout.

Share file and database. Include filter specs.

Hi @LorenaM ,

I attached a sample image of 24 hours chart. Data refresh in chart automatically as you change your data selection.

You can check here for Microsoft Excel & Office 365.

And if you are comfortable with Google Sheets, you can find it here.

Steps to use Chart Filters
  1. Select your data to chart.
  2. Click the Insert tab, and select the chart you want to use. I used a column chart (2d) in the video.
  3. After the chart is added to the worksheet, click Chart Filters.
  4. Uncheck the data you do not want to see in the chart.
  5. Click Apply.
