Highlighting very large data files without scrolling

Copper Contributor

I have excel spreadsheets with over 50K rows. How can I highlight all of the data for sorting without holding the mouse button down forever?

Don't know exactly what you want. But data files without scrolling can be done in a variety of ways.

with a table, with filter, with pivot, with search & find function, with VBA.

Here is the search & find option

In the back right area of the menu ribbon you will find the section "Edit". There you click on "Search and Select", the menu item is marked with binoculars. In the drop-down menu you then have numerous options for what Excel should search your table for

Information about this:

Look up values in a list of data

Find or replace text and numbers on a worksheet

It would be advantageous for you if you knew the Excel version and the operating system, as well as a precise description of what you would like to achieve. Ideally with a file (without sensitive data).

Thank you for your understanding and patience

I would be happy to know if I could help.
