Help with IF function

Copper Contributor

Hi everyone.. first time on this forum.

I am trying to calculate a result based on 4 sets of values. Scenario is:
Client X sells $XX (Value 1) and grows by X% (Value 2) and is paid according to (Value 3) the grid below:.

I am looking for help with a formula to calculate the payout figure? Thanks

@dameb72 Perhaps the attached workbook contains the solution you are looking for.

@Riny_van_Eekelen Thanks, but it is not exactly what I am after. Let me step through it again.

Value 1 is a fixed value ($100,000)

Value 2 is also a fixed value (26%)

So using the table as a guide, Client X grew 26% which based on the table below earns him 2% of $100,000 ($2000). I need a formula to help me calculate the $2000 easily

Hi @dameb72

@Riny_van_Eekelen's VLOOKUP formula gives you the 2% result, so you can then just do that result x the cell with the value (e.g. 100,000)

@Wyn Hopkins Thanks for this tip. I am also a novice with VLOOKUP. SO I can search a range of fields yes in order to assign the right remuneration percentage.

@dameb72 Try the attached schedule again. I've made it to look more like your example.
