Help With Excel Formula

Copper Contributor

I need help with a formula that would sum up days by month. I'm sure it's something simple however I'm stumped. Please see the screen shots of both sheets below. What I'm trying to accomplish is to reference the "Date" Column data on the "Registration DBASE" sheet to return the sum total number of days on the "Attrition Report" corresponding to the "Recruitment Results" by the listed "Enrollment Month". Just need to calculate total days. Nothing else. Any help would be appreciated.

**See the attached sheets below

Thanks

If not sure I fully understand what you're trying to do, but is this in ballpark? Are you trying to summarize your list by month and status?

Or, does each day in the data only count once (so, January would be 2)?

Perhaps PivotTable could be a solution

Yes this is exactly the formula I need. Just added sheet reference to the formula you created.

=SUMPRODUCT(--(TEXT(Registrationdbase!$A$2:$A$9,"MMMM")=A2),--(attrition report!$B$2:$B$9=B2))

Thank you sooooo much!
