Help needed with exel

Copper Contributor

I have a small problem with exel, (pardon my french, im not a pro exel user)
So im working on a table for work.

Basically i need help with a calculation, have a image here too..

So what i need is for the Amount of coloured key squares to add up as a total number.
Exaple: IF Person "Jonne" has 2 red days marked i want the answer in square H7.

And if person Cisu has 2 green days and one yellow the answer total answer comes in square H8

Etc..

This is basically a weekly work table, where we also mark and count days being off work for different reasons (sick, personal, vacation etc)

The cells are set up so that i can fill any slots with the keywords (L, H, S,P and V) from cell C2 to G2

Hopefully someone understand what i need help with. :D

@Kaizu I believe you can just enter the following formula in H7 and copy it down.

=COUNTA(C7:G7)

or

=LASKE.A(C7:G7) in Finnish

If not, please clarify what exactly you want to see in H7 and downwards,

@Riny_van_Eekelen

That worked exactly as i wanted.  Thank you :)

That word "count or laske" misdirected me first since it was supposed to count letters, not numbers. :D
But main thing is that it worked.

@Kaizu Great! glaD I could help.

For clarity, COUNT will count only numbers, whereas COUNTA will count all non-blank cells.
