Greek characters for mathematics

Copper Contributor

Mathematical spreadsheet, in which I also need to write explanations for other users. I am using Office Professional 2019, and I am a new user. I cannot find out how to access Greek (mathematical) symbols in order to write these explanations.  It used to be easy in Office 95.

On the Insert tab of the ribbon, in the Symbols group, click Symbol:

Make sure that '(normal text)' is selected in the Font drop down, and that 'Unicode (hex)' is selected in the 'from' drop down.

Select 'Greek and Coptic' from the 'Subset' drop down:

Select a character, then click Insert.

Thank you. It worked. I don't know why I couldn't see it.
