Graphs are not shown in Excel anymore, but shown in Excel online

Copper Contributor

Hi everybody,

i developed a financial plan and an extra tab with dozens of graphs. These are all not shown at all when i open the document on my excel (mac). However, when i open it via onedrive in excel online, all graphs are shown. I also downloaded a copy of the online version and opened it locally via excel app on my mac and all graphs are completely gone.

Whats the problem? Can others see the graphs when I send the document to them?

Would be happy for any help! Thanks!

I don't have a mac pc and my knowledge is very limited, but my knowledge of foreign languages helps you to pass on some information.

Maybe this information will help you.

1. Info from the net.

Settings-View-Placeholder for graphics remove the checkmark.

In the “Tools” menu, click on the “Options” entry.

On the “View” tab, in the “Display” section, you will find the “Placeholder for graphics” option.

To display the graphics again, you must deactivate the option.

Confirm the change with "OK".

2.Available chart types in Office
