Hi @manuele87,
The error 0xc0000005 is an access violation error, which means that Excel is trying to access a resource that it is not authorized to access. Possible causes of this error include:
- A damaged or corrupted Excel file
- A damaged or corrupted Excel extension
- A problem with Windows system files
- A problem with the computer's hardware
Since you have already tried reinstalling Office and running the sfc and dism commands, it is likely that the problem is caused by a damaged or corrupted Excel file or extension.
Here are some steps you can try to fix the problem:
- Open Excel in Safe Mode. To do this, press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Task Manager. On the Processes tab, select Excel.exe and click Open file location. In the folder that opens, right-click EXCEL.EXE and select Run as administrator. In Safe Mode, Excel does not load extensions. If Excel does not crash in Safe Mode, the problem is likely caused by an Excel extension.
- Disable all Excel extensions. To do this, open Excel and go to File > Options > Add-ins. On the Active Add-ins tab, deselect all of the check boxes. Click OK and restart Excel. If Excel does not crash after disabling all extensions, the problem is likely caused by a specific extension. Add the extensions back one at a time to determine which one is causing the problem.
- Restore a damaged Excel file. If you have a backup of a damaged Excel file, you can try to restore it. To do this, open Excel and go to File > Open. In the Open dialog box, click the Recent tab and select the Excel file you want to restore. Click Open and select Restore.
- Run a virus and malware scan. A virus or malware infection could also be causing the problem. Run a full scan of your computer with an up-to-date antivirus and antimalware program.
- Check for Corrupted Files: The issue could be caused by a corrupted Excel file. Try opening different Excel files to see if the problem occurs with specific files. If it's file-specific, the file may be corrupted.
- Recreate User Profile: If the issue persists, it might be related to your user profile. You can try creating a new user profile on your computer and see if Excel works without issues in the new profile. If it does, you can transfer your data and settings to the new profile.
