I need a formula please. I need to find the sum of all compensation for each the of first column...like add all of compensation for 4 regardless of letter, so compensation is 406000. I tried to post in the community, but it won't let me

@Sheila590 I'm not sure what you mean by trying to post in the community but that it wouldn't let you. Did you try to post to the Excel discussion space?

The formula in G2 (and copied down) is:

 

=SUMIFS($C$2:$C$18, $A$2:$A$18, E2 & "*", $B$2:$B$18, F2)
