Formula References error when saving

Copper Contributor

When i save a file i get an error message from excel saying "Excel has found a problem with one or more formula references in this worksheet. Check that cell references, range names, defined names and links to other workbooks in your formulas are correct."

Find links (external references) in a workbook

...or

Workaround: resave the document in a temporary folder and then start deleting the individual spreadsheets. After each deletion, save the document again and this way you can find out in which worksheet the error occurred (i.e. if the error message no longer appears, you know that the error is probably in the worksheet you just deleted).

Then just remove the corresponding spreadsheet with the error from the original document and set it up again (or copy the spreadsheet from an older version and make adjustments so that it is up to date again).

Hope I was able to help you with this info.
