Formula help with vlookups and changing start dates

Copper Contributor

Hi,

I am budgeting and want to add new sales people and their increasing targets over an 8 month period so in mth 1 to 4 after their start date the target is 0, mth 5 = £100, mth 6 = £200, mth 7 = £350, mth 8 = £500 full target and all months after that,

I want to be able to change their start date and the targets move accordingly.

My budget is monthly and for 3 years.

If they start Jan 2022 Jan to Apr = 0, May = £100, June = £200 and so on,

But if I change the start date to 01/03/22 then these values need to jump forward by 2 months.

Is there a way to do this? I've tried if/and and vlookup's but haven't managed to write the correct formula.

Thanks

I am using an HP laptop, I work within my companies Cloud system

Microsoft 365 Excel version 2101, Build 13628.20274 click to run.

I've attached a file with how I need the data to be calculated.

I want to be able to change the start date of individuals (recruit earlier or later) and the targets move accordingly so I don't have to manually type the formulas in to each month.

Thanks.
