Formula for changing one instance of a value that appears multiple times.

I might be asking a question already answered here but I'm unsure of my terminology. I'll try to keep it short and simple...

I use excel to track my personal finances and, from time to time, values change. Like, for example, a better deal on car insurance.

What I am seeking, if it exists, is a formula that will allow me to control an entry in one cell that then changes the entry in all other cells for the same item.

Any other helpful hints for making my task easier would also be most welcome

Probably the easiest way to create an extra sheet where you create named ranges for all the things you want to track.

Then you refer to the named range rather than using a number.

Ie, if you create a named range called CarInsurance you can then use =CarInsurance*12 to calculate 12months or car insurance.. and you would then need to change only the one cell to update all the formulas.

Else Ctrl+H for find an replace?
