Hi all

I was wondering if someone could be my hero and please asst me.

I am trying to do a quick summery of Averages and Totals.

I can easily calculate the averages and totals(SUMS), however, I was hoping there is an easier way than typing it all out over and over again.

So here is the situation.
I have two columns, 1st column = AVERAGES, 2nd column= Totals(SUM).
I want to be able to copy my formula from the averages column into the totals column and just change the formula from AVERAGE to SUM. The selected cells have to stay the same.

If I copy the cells over, the selected cells already change. the only way I can get the formula to remain the same is if I Cut & Paste instead of Copy & Paste. so there are two challenges:

1-How to keep the selected cells(Locking my cells with "$", is going to require more time than a simple copy paste of the same selected cells).
2-How to just change the formula and keep the cell selection the same.

I hope to hear from you Excel-Experts soon.

Thank you for your time and help.

Kind regards

WirelessPriest

Can you perhaps show us both formulas?
