Filter and expand data in pivot table

Copper Contributor
Hi there,
I have a tabe with columns: locations, employee id's, hours, and pay periods

I am trying to subtotal periods by location, so that I can see which locations had a change in hours<-40% or >50% over prior period. I did a pivot table.

Location and employee Id's share a column. The periods are broken into 2 columns 201821, 201822 (but could be more). And I summed hours, two times for values in pivot tool. I changed value in the 2nd column to difference from previous period. I then collaspsed the locations and added custom filter to hours 40% or >50%.

I now know with locations had a substantial change in hours and I need to view the employees for these locations. However; I have been unsuccessful in expanding location after filtering.

I have Excel 2016. I am recording a macro, as we have about 9 paycycles with upwards of 400 locations and 30,000 employees per cycle. Any assistance you are able to provide is greatly appreciated. I look forward to your response.

Thank you,
