When using excel and typing in today's date using my System Standard (US dates), I type 2/26/2022. The date is stored properly in the cell and can be used as a date. It displays using the default date. However, when I leave off the year and only type 2/26, Excel interprets this as a date, stores the date value in the cell and then changes the cell formatting to a custom cell formatting of d-mmm, so my date gets displayed in the cell as 26-Feb. Can Excel add a feature to always display the system date - in my case 2/27/2022? Or maybe make it a workbook setting so that dates can be consistent throughout the document?
