Extra Large Size of Excel file, even after deleting all spreadsheets

Hi Everyone.

 

I do have an excel file with deleted spreadsheets but still the file size of the spreadsheet it too big. Can one help me with the reason why this is like that??

Could you attach a small sample workbook demonstrating the problem (without sensitive data), or if that is not possible, make it available through OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox or similar?

I have the same problem.

It is still 1.2 MB even i delete everything.
And it take me 30-60 seconds to open this file.

First, the workbook is broken. I got a message from Excel it will repair the workbook and remove some parts.

 

Regarding your file size problem:

You did not delete the custom cell styles.

But they are not the problem this time.

You have a few thousand hidden (fancy) names in your workbook.

Get rid of them!

Some how our company have a lot file like this  and it took me a lot of time . I've been trying to find a way to fix this for a long time. really thank you very much. 

this is workbook with a blank sheet,why not create new file.

additionally,there are many external links

if you delete these links files,size will be smaller Apparently。
