Some questions:

Does Word or any other software successfully send a document to the printer and have it printed? (i.e., is it only with Excel that you experience this failure to print?)

Did somehow the Printer default in your Excel print dialog box get changed, inadvertently, to a different printer to which you've had access?

When did it begin?

What (if anything) do you learn from the HP printer utility software? Can you connect and view, for example, supply levels (ink)?

Is this a hard-wired printer, or one you access (as I do mine) via the wi-fi? Any change in that method? Are other people (if any) in the household able to print? Or can you from device other than the computer with Excel on it?

For the record, it's a pretty safe bet that the problem isn't Excel, per se. Far more likely is some change in the setup.

on Windows 10
Write the text box word "Control Panel"
Click Control Panel App
Set "Large symbols" to Large symbols in the top right
Click on devices and printers
Click the desired printer with the right mouse button
Set as standard printer, click
close everything and print ... should actually go .. or not :)
