Hi Team Need help on the TREND() formula function how internal calculation works and getting the values.
TIA.

Ex:

Trend($A2:$D2)

When we give this formula in the excel it will provide the result. I want to know how internally the calculation process goes and giving the results.

TIA

@Syamteja720 The MS support page for the TREND function says this:

"The TREND function returns values along a linear trend. It fits a straight line (using the method of least squares) to the array's known_y's and known_x's. TREND returns the y-values along that line for the array of new_x's that you specify."

@Riny_van_Eekelen actually iam taking about how least square method works is what my question
