I have a drop down list for a cell and I want to add the second column to a different cell,

Let's say the data validation dropdown in cell A2 has the range K2:K10 as source list.
Enter the following formula in B2:
=IFERROR(VLOOKUP(A2,$K$2:$L$10,2,FALSE)
