Excel totaling

Hi! My husband is having difficulty remembering how to total three cells as in a cost for material, the next cell being the cost of labor, and the next cell being what was made on a job. So he needs labor and material added and then subtracted from what the job cost and what was made in a new sell.

          A               B               C              D              E

1	Job	Job Quote	Material	Labour	Profit from Job
2	Picnic Bench	250	78.25	100	71.75

                                                                   =SUM(B2-(C2+D2)) <--- formula in E2
