Excel swapping data to a date

Hello,

I have  one cell in an xlsx worksheet that changes any data input to a random date on save. There are no formulae attached and as far as I can see, no other fomatting in the cell. All other cells behave ok.

Can anyone help?

use '  in front of the 1st character
