SUM function ignores the Text values so make sure that the numbers you are adding are actual numbers not numbers as text.
To check whether the numbers are actual numbers or not, place the formula =ISNUMBER(<cell reference of one of the numbers you are trying to add here>) in any blank cell and this formula would return TRUE if the numbers are actual numbers and FALSE if the numbers are Text entries.
