Is it possible to 'save as'' an Excel workbook with muliple tabs?

Do you mean that you want to save each worksheet as a separate workbook?

NO. I would like to make a duplicate of the workbook with a new name and then make changes in the new workbook. the original has multiple tabs/pages.

Then it's just the same as saving a workbook with just one sheet:

Press F12 to display the Save As dialog.

Provide a new name (and navigate to a different folder if desired), then click Save.
