There are limitations everywhere in life, sometimes also in excel.
I don't know how many files can be read at the same time in a specific case, but this is certainly dependent on or influenced by other factors.
Depending on where the file is, which office version the other users use, etc.

As far as I can remember, the recommended maximum number of concurrent editors was 10.
The maximum was 99.
But I'm not sure if this is still the case today and with which Excel version it is a restriction (I think... without being sure, this was with Excel online).
