Excel opening for Quickbooks Reporting

I've upgraded to Windows 11 this Fall.  Now my Quickbooks reports will not open excel but will only give me a .csv option.  I've contacted Quicbooks, they have made sure I have all the upgrades.  I've purchased the latest version of Excel 2021 ver 2211 and still only get the .csv option in QB.  Microsoft said I could pull in the .csv file by opening Excel, however I loose all the QB formating etc. etc.  this is not a solution.

I'm on Windows 11 and Excel 365, export to excel works in QB

Don't think it will be different for Excel 2021. Perhaps something else.
