Excel on a Mac - Statistic Question - # of clients seen within a specific timeframe

Copper Contributor
  • I'm using Excel on a Mac 2016 and I'm trying to figure out how to identify the number of clients seen Monday - Friday between the hours of 8am-5pm.  The trick is that some clients are seen multiple times in a month but I only want to count them once.   Is this possible to do?

I've attached a sample spreadsheet.

Hi,

I think you may need to do what you want using Pivot Table(s).

I've added a couple - as examples - but they may need tweaking a bit.  It groups them by Month and counts the number of entries and the number of unique names.

Not sure what this looks like on a MAC or if Pivot Tables work differently.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards

Hi N

Not sure if there is much of a difference from a PC but it looks good.  I'm just learning Pivot Tables so I wasn't sure if that was what I needed to use to get my answers but I think this will work.

Thank you so much for taking the time to help me.  I really appreciate it!
