Hello,

We are working with several Excels files on Microsoft 365 licenses business and since a month ago we are experiencing a lot of issues when opening those files with every time a different error message.

We found a temporary workaround that allow us to open and work on the files but we need to find a temporary solution.

Attached is the workaround solution.

Thanks for the help!

  1. Make the folder(s) containing the workbooks a trusted location for Excel. You can do this in File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings... > Trusted Locations. You may have to tick the check box "Allow Trusted Locations on my network".
  2. In the Visual Basic Editor, select Tools > References...
Clear any reference whose name starts with Missing, then click OK. Save the workbook.

Thank you for your reply and solution @Hans Vogelaar

Unfortunately it doesn't work

We just found another easier workaround. We will try for a few days and see if that solves the issue.
