Excel issue

In Excel I am trying to build a paper Inventory sheet I have a cell that I want to use as a lbs used cell so one day I enter 100 then maybe the next day I want to enter 200 in that same cell so the cell should read then as 300 can I do this somehow?

In my humble opinion, this is not a good idea. You won't be able to correct mistakes since you can't see how the total was formed.

I'd enter each weight in a separate cell and use a SUM formula to calculate the total weight.

That way, you can edit an incorrect entry afterwards.
