Hello,
I'm trying to figure out what formula I would use to add the number of people in each household (column B) that come to our food pantry every week by putting a 1 in the date columns (D,E, etc.) every time they come. All I remember how to do is auto sum, but I don't think that's right. I'm attaching a photo, but have left off column A due to it containing people's name.Thanks for your help!

@ThisTwinMom You can use SUMPRODUCT for this. It multiplies column B by D (E,F,G etc.) and then sums it all up. See picture below. Enter the formula where you want it, adjust ranges is needed and copy it towards the right. Beware to use the dollar signs in the reference to the cells in column B. This will keep the range fixed when you copy the formula to the right.
