EXCEL FORMULA

Copper Contributor

Hello,

Does anyone know how to add a line to where the formula will continue, at the bottom of a group, without having to click and drag the line above it?  I inserted an example of the table below.  Any help would be appreciated.

Account NumberDescription Adopted Budget  Balance
1012284-5051004MATERIALS & SUPPLIES        10,000.00
PO# or Credit CardVendor Amount
                 10,000.00
                 10,000.00
This is the last line and I want to add a line below that will automatically carry the formula down               10,000.00
1012284-5051005SAFETY EQUIPMENT        10,000.00
PO# or Credit CardVendor Amount

If what you have is an official Excel Table--which, frankly, it might not be, given how you show it--formulas typically DO continue to populate in new rows. That presumes that they're present in every row above in whatever column contains the formula.

Is it possible for you to post the actual spreadsheet in this instance, not just a replica of it. Post it on OneDrive or GoogleDrive with a link pasted here that grants edit access.

It looks like you're essentially trying to eliminate the need to use the fill handle to pull formulas vertically. You can do this by writing the formula to spill and/or using dynamic ranges. If you're able to post your formula, a modification can be recommended.
