Excel formula not executing

Good afternoon everyone.

I am wondering if anyone might know why my vlookup is not executing,  the formula is just sitting in the cell like a text string,  even with the = sign in front.  

Any thoughts?

Please be sure if Show formula is unchecked

and you didn't apply Text format to the cell(s)

formula is : =VLOOKUP(A2,'[6-28-22 Palantir.xlxs]Sheet1'!$A$0,15,0)

Hello Sergei, Looks like I may have had the column as text.
Sounds like a rookie mistake.
