I've been tasked to create a fixed-width text file; however, how exactly do I define the character limits for each field so that the .prn file remembers those parameters upon import.
*Update* I've successfully exported the text file via Microsoft Access (however, the column headers are missing. Per the troubleshooting guide located HERE (missing field names), their solution is to simply add the headers to the text file--I'm unable to add the headers given the spacing between some of the fields (i.e. State has two character positions then comes zip code. I can not type "STATE" within two character positions.) Does anyone know how to add column headers to the exported text?
