Excel file not open in Mac Book.

I have install office 365 in Mac book. but there are one issue when I trying  to ope excel file, which have link. shared by the windows laptop with office 20216 std. and I am trying on many other Mac book but not open anywhere. if remove the link then file is open. 

please give the solution.

Is the file the link points to available on those Mac machines?
It should work regardless however. How is the link used in your file exactly? In formulas only? What kind of formulas?
