Excel extremely slow to lauch

I have Microsoft 365 Apps for Business.

When launching Excel it takes almost 20 seconds.

It is not only a problem when opening an Excel file (either locally or from One Drive) but also a problem when simply launching Excel when clicking on the app's icon.

Word and Power Point open in lesd than 2 seconds.

All plugins are disabled.

8 GB RAM
SSD

If I run Excel in safe mode it load in a second

@gstoto_keybiz Do you have a lot of add-ins perhaps? Offload if you don't really need them.

As I wrote: All plugins are disabled/inactive. And a matter of fact I can see they do not load at the bottom of the splashscreen.

It's annoying: I have to wait 30 secs every time I open Excel...

I have just found pout something strange: if internet connection (wifi or cable) is on, than it takes 20 seconds, if it's off it takes a second... Any clue?
Again, no problem with Word or PowerPoint

Ok I found the culprit...
For whatever reason under OPTIONS > ADVANCED > GENERAL > AT LAUCH OPEN ALL FILE IN" there was "\\JVWDR-LJHLI-NUYJA-OXNJU\\28/02/2022"

Not sure why and what thsi is...

It seems that the string

is being added automatically in the options: any reason why?
