Today Excel suddenly won't start when click on file in a map and the Excel ikon is gone. But if I open Excel via Start and then choose the file it opens. I have reinstalled Microsoft 365 and restarted the pc several times.
What to do?

@Bengt_W : Here I add a pic of map where you can see the ikons missing

SolutionThis looks to me as though somehow Excel has been removed as the default app for files with a .xls* extension.
I'd suggest that you click in the Windows search box and type "app" and look for "Default apps" (it should be in the group under "Settings").
Look then for "Choose default apps by file type"
Look in the list of file types for .xlsx and look click the "Choose a default" button to the right of it, then select Excel.
