Excel date

Copper Contributor

Hi I'm working on an on-line Excel document & no matter how many times I change the date format to 02/08/2021 English-UK, it keeps reverting to Armenian???  Have also changed it in the File Options section. Please help - thank you.

Do you mean

1) you are on Excel for web

2) when you change 08/02/2021 to UK date format you see 02.08.2021

3) when you reopen the file format goes back to US one?

Or step 2 doesn't work?

@Sergei Baklan

1)  Yes

2)  Yes - only I have formatted it to 02/08/2021

3)  Yes, when file reopened it reverts to US format (but showing Armenian in the cell format location)

Is there a way I can change the location to remain as UK?

Many tks

Anita

Hi,

You can change the format using the Format Cells Dialog box.

Press Ctrl + 1, Go to the Date option. Under the Locale section, select the Location of which you want to display the date. I hope this helps
You can also try to change the date of your computer system itself
Thank you - have managed to sort out the problem (once I enabled 3rd party cookies, I was able to change the regional settings).

Anita, perhaps you used that, regional settings could be changed from File menu here
