Excel Crashing/Exiting with no clear error

Copper Contributor

Hi There,

I am having the same issue described in this thread here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/microsoft-excel-2016-crashing-and-exiting-ran...

Unfortunately, the thread is locked so I could respond. My error is identical to the error described. @wingers

Also I've tried installing 3 specific versions of Excel and still had the issues. The builds I used were from the Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel and builds 2002 (12527.20880), 1908 (11929.20904), and 1908 (11929.20838).

I'm about to go all the way back to a January version to see if that version resolves my issue(s).

This is happening across PC's, Laptops, Vendors, and models. Also, files locally on the machine HDD and on our File Server. Accessed on Local LAN, across VPN, and in our datacenter on server class hardware. The error persists.

When does Excel crash exactly?

@Jan Karel Pieterse It crashes as soon as someone tries to recalculate the file using F9. It shows "Calculating: 0%" and then crashes with the same error from the thread linked in my original post.
